Conversations with bub

Set the scene: Mama & Bub playing cars in Bub's bedroom

Bub: "Oops, sorry, I farted."
Bub: "Mum"
Mama: "Hmm?"
Bub: "Farting fills up your tank & makes you run fast."
Mama: feeling a little confused, "Doesn't farting empty your tank?"
Bub: "No, it makes you run fast, but not Broccoli or Califlower, they make you slow."
Mama: Thinking he's preparing me for his next argument at dinner when he doesn't want to eat his vegetables

Set the scene: At the dinner table Monday night, after dinner the boys go to Grandma's for a slumber party since its spring break for the school-aged kids.

Mama: "Well Papa, what are we going to do tonight, the kid's are going to Grandma's to spend the night?"
Bub: "You can go on a date."
Mama: "Really? What should we do?"
Bub: "You could dress up in your meet'um (meeting) clothes, Papa could wear his tie and blue shirt, you could wear that black thing."
Mama: "Oh yeah? Then what would we do?"
Bub: "You could drive . . . "
Mama: "Could we go to a movie?"
Bub: "Yeah, you can go to a movie. At Movie Theater!"
Mama: "Could we take a walk?"
Bub: "Yeah, you can hold hands on the sidewalk."
Mama: "Oh, I see . . . Could we play kissy face?"
Bub: "Ugh . . . NO . . . that's gross."
